Who is Andy Bassich?

Andy Bassich is best known as the American musician and television personality who hosts the series Life Below Zero on National Geographic Channel Star. He’s always on the right track as he takes his dogs to various locations in the Alaskan wilderness.

Andy was born in Washington DC in 1959 and was also raised there. His family was not doing well, so he started working as a carpenter to help out financially. As hard as life was then, he had a flair for education and visited John. F Kennedy High School but was unable to attend school due to financial instability. He worked as a carpenter for a while and took a keen interest in raising and hunting dogs. Andy decided to move on to Alaska where he started out as a musher and other menial jobs to make ends meet. Throughout his time in Alaska, he never recorded a fateful ordeal until 2009, when a flood broke out in the wilderness.
