He was born Thomas John Woodward in the United Kingdom on 7 June 1940. Jones came to life at precisely 57 Kingsland Terrace in the Treforest village of Pontypridd, County Glamorganshire, South Wales. He attended Treforest Primary School on Wood Road, Pontypridd before going to Treforest Pontypridd Central Secondary Modern School.
Tom Jones grew up never loving academics. He rather had his whole interest in music and partying. He was a member of the school choir and from an early age presented at family celebrations and other social occasions. Katherine Berkery gave birth to a son named Jonathan Berkery in 1987. That same year, Jones released a single entitled “A Boy from Nowhere”, possibly inspired by his denial of Jonathan’s paternity.
